The name Mount Cho-yu is called 'Goddess of Turquoise'. As goddess is 'chomo' in Tibetan language and turquoise is 'yu'. Hence, 'Chomo Yu' has changed into Cho Oyu in course of changing civilization generation after generation. It is also reported that Cho Oyu is also called 'Mighty Head' meaning 'god's head'It stands at high above the Tibetan plains on the boarder of Nepal with its mighty height 8,201m above the sea level.Mount Cho Oyu, the world's sixth highest mountain was first to step onto the snow-dome summit were the Australians - S. Moechler, H. Tichy and P. Dawa Lama from Nepal in 1954.
Mt. Cho Oyu 8,201m is the most popular 8000 meter peak for climbing in Nepal & Tibet. Cho Oyu expedition would be the best choice for the mountaineers who want to stand on the summit of 8,000 meter peak due to its straight forward climbing with minimal objective danger and less technically demanding.These days, there are more than four different routes on Cho Oyu with the Tibetan north side offering several worthy possibilities. Climbing on Cho Oyu has the higher rate of success than any other 8000 meter peaks in Nepal & Tibet.The Base Camp is situated at Rongbuk glacier at 5,180m height. The climbing starts from Camp 1 which is placed at an elevation of 7000m.

Day 03: Official work for expedition & briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
Day 04: Fly to Lukla 2860m. & trek to Phakding 2622m./Manjo.
Day 05: Phakding/Manjo - Namche Bazaar 3440m.
Day 06: Namche rest for acclimatization.
Day 07: Namche Dole (4,200m).
Day 08: Dole - Machharmo (4,410m).
Day 09: Machharmo Gokyo Lake. (4,750m.).
Day 10: Gokyo rest day for acclimatization.
Day 11: Gokyo - Ngozumba Tso.
Day 12: Ngozumba Tso - Cho Oyu Base Camp 5400m.
Day 13-35: Climbing period for Cho Oyu 8201m.
Day 36: Clean up BC & trek back to Gokyo Lake.
Day 37: Gokyo Lake - Dole.
Day 38: Dole - Namche Bazaar.
Day 39: Namche Bazaar - Lukla then transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
Day 40: Lukla - Kathmandu by flight and transfer to Hotel.
Day 41: Free day in Kathmandu valley. Evening farewell dinner in Typical Nepali Culture.
Day 42: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination .
