Chulu East peak (6,584 m)climbing is one of the most popular and highest trekking peak climbing in Annapurna region of Nepal. Chulu East (6,584 m) peak rises above the Manang valley in the rain shadow side of the Manang Himal range. Chulu East (6,584 m.) was first ascended by a German expedition in 1955 A.D, via its northeast ridge. These two Peaks of Chulu namely Chulu East and Chulu West forms a part of Manang Himal which is again is an integral part of the Damodar Himal. Though Chulu East peak climbing is technically straight forward you should be trained about how to use your climbing tools.

We begin our Chulu East peak climbing trip from Kathmandu as we head toward the Besisahar via bus. From Besisahar we trek through the classical Annapurna circuit trekking route along the Marsyangdi river valley and from there passing through the diverse landscape, forests and culturally rich villages. Our trekking trail climbs up through the rugged topography ups and down the hills and dales acclimatizing properly to reach the Pisang valley at 3,200 meter. Since the trekking trail takes us very close to the Tibetan bordering Manang valley one can explore and experience the Tibetan monasteries their typical culture and traditions.  From the valley we gradually ascend up to Letdar and move on until we reach the Base Camp at (4950 m.). We take a day rest in this camp acclimatizing our self and Exploring the vicinity. From this Base camp we now ascend up to High Camp at 5,600 meter. From High Camp we summit the peak of Chulu East (6,584 m) the summit of the peak offers thebreathtaking views across to the Annapurna II, III and IV, Gangapurna, Glacier Dome, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho peak and Manaslu. We descend the peak via same route. While trekking back we also cross the Thorung La pass (5,416m.) and trek back through Kali Gandaki valley to Jomsom. From Jomsom, we finally return back to Kathmandu via scenic mountain flight.
