Lobuche peak climbing is used as a warm up climb for Mt. Everest climbers for many years. Lobuche peak is a great high altitude training climb to use the climbing techniques and equipment with classical trekking.Mount Lobuche has two separate summits, Lobuche East (6,119 m ) and Lobuche west(6,119 m). Lobuche East peak climbing is considered as trekking peak climbing where as Lobuche West peak climbing is considered as expedition peak.  A continuous ridge connects them but there is still a sharp gap and a considerable distance between them.

Lobuche peak is an attractive mountain offers different routes to climb. Officially Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyalzen Sherpa climbed the Lobuche East for the first on 25 April 1984 although there are possibilities that others have reached the summit before. But no records are available.

Lobuche peak climbing takes you all the way through the rich bio-diversity of Khumbu region. The true East Peak is quite prominent and is accessed via downward path into a marked cut off and climbing up through the steeply snowy slopes to the summit. The summit of the peak offers the most excellent views of the mighty Himalayan peaks like Mt. Everest, Mt. Ama Dablam etc., and a 360 degree Himalayan panorama that include all important peaks in the Khumbu Valley. Many of parties have attained the false summit to the east of the notch. Excursion to Kalapathar (5,550m.), Gorak Shep, and Everest Base Camp will make a fine practice and acclimatization for the climb to Lobuche peak.

Lobuche peak climbing with Everest Base Camp trekking is the best option to spend longer time in the Everest.
