Shamanism tour is termed as a variety of beliefs and practices relating to communication between the human world and spiritual world. A Shaman is regarded a person who have access and influence in the world of the good and evil spirit, to practice the divination and healing process they can enter the trance state during a ritual they perform. They can communicate with the spiritual world and other dimension and guide the misguided soul to heal the human soul.

Nepal is a multi religion country consisting more than sixty distinct ethnic and linguistic tribal groups. Among all these 60 groups more than half practice some form of shamanism. Shamanism practice in Nepal shows a diverse array still all of these are somewhere related to the ancient Himalayan shamanism dating back to stone age. Shamanism is still practiced in the eastern and western hilly regions of Nepal. These Shamans usually named as Dhamis and Jhakris in Nepal usually carry a double-sided drum and often wear a crown of peacock feathers. In this act of witchdoctor (Jhankari) they beat their drums & swallow fire to drive away the evil spirits. They also carry a special tool called Purbha- a knife shaped tool with three distinct segments made from clay, wood, iron or more expensive metals. It is believed that during trance state of the Jhankri, he transforms his spiritual body into Purbha and takes flight through the spirit worlds in this form to find the solution of the problem.

Jhankri also use a wide variety of medicinal plants, such as wormwood, mugwort, cannabis, various datura species, ganoderma and other mushrooms to heal the patients. A good Shaman has a wide range of knowledge related to the ecological, biological, and pharmacological field and can really guide for the medicinal herbs. Today these kinds of practice are in the condition to extinct so we need to make some effort to preserve this ancient healing process. These are also the immense wealth of cultural, social, religious and artistic expression.
