Dhulikhel Namobuddha Phulchowki trek is another easy short and most popular trekking route that provides you the most spectacular mountain scenery hiking through the beautiful landscape and forests. Namo Buddha is a beautiful and peaceful hill inhibited by an ancient Buddhist gompa related to the pre life of Lord Buddha. It’s a symbol of the human sacrifice done by a prince who took a rebirth as Lord Buddha.
Dhulikhel Namobuddha Phulchowki trek starts from the Dhulikhel after we drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel. Dhulikhel is a beautiful place inhibited with many temples ornamented with generous wood carvings, villages and many more. From Dhulikhel we hike up through the beautiful hills, terraced farmland, rural indigenous Newari villages and forests along the gravel way up to the Namo Buddha. In Namo Buddha you can hear many legends related to the prolife of Buddha. Namo Buddha is a Buddhist pilgrimage with a Buddhist stupa ornamented with the artistic paintings and carving related to the Buddha's life and offers the spectacular view of mountain like Langtang, Dorje lakpa, Gaurishanker. From Namo Buddha we trek towards Pulchowki via Babar Danda. Here we visit many ancient rural villages where we experience the typical rural Napali and Newari culture. Pulchowki (2,760m.) is the highest mountain that encircles the Kathmandu valley and receives snowfall during winter and offers the complete view of Kathmandu valley. This is the idyllic place for those interested in bird watching and wildlife. Pulchowki and Godavari are exotic place rich in the flora and fauna including different variety of butterflies and birds.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport. We drive from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel by car overnight stay at Dhulikhel Hotel.
Day 02: We trek from Dhulikhel to Balthali via Namobuddha walking for about 5 to6 hours. On our way we visit Buddhist monastery at the Namobuddha.
Day 03: We trek from Balthali to Bebar Danda walking for about five hours.
Day 04: We trek from Bebar Danda to Phulchowki walking for five hours.
Day 05: We trek from Phulchowki to Godavari (1525 m.). Here we enjoy bird watching and trek from Phulchowki to Godavari. Godavari has abotanical garden.
Day 06: We drive back from Godavari to Kathmandu, Evening Farewell dinner in Typical Nepali Culture and say good bye.
Day 07: Departure from Kathmandu to your onward destination.
