The Ganesh Himal trek is the one of the celebrated trekking route in Nepal. Ganesh Himal is the closest mountain that can be seen from the Kathmandu Valley and it stands between Budi Gandaki valley in the west and Bhote koshi in the east. Ganesh Himal is named after the Hindu deity of good fortune, the elephant headed god Ganesh. Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III and Ganesh IV are mountain forming skyline of Ganesh Himal Range. Ganesh Himal Base Camp trekking route is famous for the exotic view of its flora especially during spring season the striking presentation of barberries, Primulas, orchids and a variety of ferns gives the exotic view as well as the vibrant smell all around the trekking route. The Ganesh Himal Base Camp Trekking trail takes you all the way through the emerald hills, beautiful Tamangs villages, terraces filled with golden rice and mustard, natural hot water stream, deep Georges, glaciers, with forests of blue pine, Spanish oak, and blossoming Rhododendron forest adding beauty to the path.

Ganesh Himal trek starts from Betrawati (800m). We drive from Kathmandu on a bus observing beautiful scenery of the rhododendron forest, beautiful hills, and rice terraces on the either side of the path via Trishuli bazaar to reach Betrawati. On the trek we pass through some of the interesting places like Singala pass, Pangsang Bhanjyang, Jaisal Kunda, Jyamrung. From trekking trail takes us all the way through beautiful villages and pristine rhododendron forests to Bhalche (2020m). You continue walking through the beautiful and emerald hills to Kharka and from here the trail ascends up the hill up to Rupchet (3720m) - a village inhabited mostly by Tamangs. Now the trail takes you all the way through pristine forests and lake crossing the Singla Bhanjyang (4750m) to reach at Phedi (3545m) here we make our camp. The trail also passes through Pansang Bhanjyang at 4000 meter. Here we take a day ret exploring the lakes and observing the beautiful scenery of magnificent Ganesh Himal mountain range. After exploring the vicinity of lake we trek back to the historical city Gorkha and return back to Kathmandu via bus.

Kalo Seto Kunda (Black and White Lake) which is the Ganesh Himal Base Camp. This place is so called because the place inhibits two lakes namely Kalo kunda and Seto kunda. The surface of Kalo kunda is covered with black stones whereas on contrary to that at Seto Kunda the surface is covered with white shinning stones. In Ganesh Himal Base Camp
