Baraha Pokhari Trek
Baraha Pokhari trek, also called Manaslu trek, is one of the charming trekking destination offering fantastic views of the world's eighth highest peak Mt. Manaslu, from its southwest ridge. Baraha Pokhari trekking trail takes you to the wilderness and untouched zone in mid Nepal filled with the richness of natural stuffs very similar to the most celebrated trekking trails like Annapurna and Everest region.
Baraha Pokhari trek starts from the Village of Phalesangu/Archalbot, from here our trail head up through terraces filled with paddies in Gurung village to reach Tamangs community of Phurano Dobar. These Tamangs Village is culturally and traditionally rich. Passing through all these beautiful villages and pristine rhododendron forests we reach Bara Pokhari Lake. Baraha Pokhari Lake is believed to be a source of eternal power for the witch doctors. From the lake of Baraha Pokhari after crossing the Tree line, you can observe the spectacular Himalaya range Annapurna's in the west and Manaslu to the Langtang Himal in the east. Heading further our trail leads us to Himal Chuli (7,540m.) up to the height of (4,200m.) where we set our camp. From Camp we descend down to the valley passing through the terraces filled with weaving golden rice paddies to reach Nam Pokhari. We then continue trekking up to our finishing point in Begnas Lake via Ghan Pokhara.
